Please see your invitation to our annual Black Stump Open shoot – 2.5 days of shooting, scrumptious catering by Helen Allen and a 3 course meal and a Black Stump BS Quizz! Bring your camper /Swag / Caravan or stay in town – learn and grow into the sport and have fun and learn! We would love to host you at our open event!

A good reminder that there are plenty of relaxed, fun pistol competitions on around Qld and other states that members should consider attending.  You don’t need to worry about whether you’re “good enough” because it’s no different to having a shot at our club.  Except you can expect camping (usually free), catering and time to sit around and chat with like minded folks!

For a serious road trip, if you can afford the fuel, the central/western clubs put their Opens in succession so you could shoot at Rockhampton on 27/28 June, Emerald 4/5 July, Blackall 11/12 July and Mount Isa 18/19 July!  If that sounds like too much time on the road there are plenty of closer competitions and you can see the full PSQ calendar here.

The Toowoomba Pistol Club ISSF Open will be run on the weekend of 14 to 16 October 2022.

This is the first time we’ve run our Open since 2019 so we hope to see plenty of visitors returning to the club for the first time in a few years. 

Toowoomba Pistol Club will host Round 1 of the Qld Action Pistol South Queensland Cup on the weekend of 27th and 28th February.

Divisions being run include Open, Metallic, Production and Production Optics.

Gun checks on Saturday from 1.30pm with competition starting at 2 pm. Gun checks on Sunday from 8.30am with competition starting at 9am.

Due to COVID restriction lunch will not be catered. Cold drinks will be available for purchase, tea and coffee provided.

Toowoomba Pistol Club will host the South East Region Championship for Action Pistol on 22 November 2020.

This will be a COVID safe event and and all attendees must follow the Toowoomba Pistol Clubs COVID safe policy. Do NOT attend if you are feeling unwell.

In May 2018 Toowoomba Pistol Club and Pistol Australia applied to the NRA to conduct the 2020 World Action Pistol Championships.

An expression of interest was submitted and a presentation was made at the 2018 WAPC. Our bid was successful and in October 2020 we will be hosting the2020 World Action Pistol Championship.

As most of you would be aware Toowoomba Pistol Club is holding the 2019 Pistol Australia Action Pistol National Championship. This will be held on 24th, 25th & 26th October.

This will be the second time that we have held this event and we hope to make it bigger and better than last time.

We are looking for members who can volunteer to assist in the running of this event, at the moment we have an organizing secretary, Chief Scorer and a Chief RO for the Mover.

We need a Match director, someone to look after the catering, RO’s for the Plates, Barricade and Practical, assistant scorers, range marshals and someone to take charge of the chronographing.

The Toowoomba Pistol Club is proud to be the club hosting the 2018 Pistol Shooting Queensland Action Pistol State Championships.

This event is scheduled for the weekend of 8th and 9th September 2018.

Attending the range will be Queensland’s best competitors in this discipline which comprises four matches:

• Falling Plate
• Mover
• Pracrical
• Barricade

The Toowoomba Pistol Club will host the Pistol Shooting Queensland “Action Pistol” South West Regional Championship on Sunday 11th June.

With the granting of the official event sanction from Pistol Shooting Queensland we can confirm that the 2017 Toowoomba ISSF Open will be held on the weekend of May 6th and 7th.

The traditional format is expected to be run with matches offered including:

• 50 metre pisol
• 10 metre air pistol
• 25 metre pistol
• Centre fire pistol
• Standard

An entry form and additional information will be made available closer to the date of the event.
